Rental trend Berlin

Rents increase slightly, additional costs continue to fall

The net rents in Berlin have risen by 1.5 percent in August 2015 compared to August 2014. This was announced by the Statistics Office Berlin-Brandenburg. Compared to July 2015, there was no measurable increase in prices.

The additional costs went downhill. Statisticians measure a decrease of 1.7 percent in August a year ago. Even with the extra costs, there was no noticeable change compared to July. If net rent and additional costs are added up, the rent including heating increased to 1.1 percent in August compared to the the same month of the preceding year. Thus tenants benefit from lower heating costs.

Additionally in August 2015 prices for fuel oil were 26.3 percent lower than a year ago.
